After the great and unexpected success of "Trip with the Lady" - also released only as an LP on pure 180 gram vinyl - Maurizio Brunod did not stop and embarked on a new journey accompanied by other wonderful ladies, who gave him the opportunity to give life to new and evocative sounds, full of colorful emotions.
Here then, still printed in a numbered edition limited to 250 copies, with the addition of 30 special copies in marbled colored paste, the sequel to that album, “Trip with the Ladies (Chapter 2)”, published by Caligola and distributed in exclusive from HI FI Di Prinzio.
Starting in 2009, Brunod had already recorded many works for the Venetian label and rose to the forefront of musical news, first in Turin, then nationally, in the mid-80s as a member of the group Enter Eller, duetting with musicians of the caliber of Miroslav Vitous and Garrison Fewell, Daniele di Bonaventura and Gianluigi Trovesi, but also signing two solitary albums, released only as compact discs, “Northern Lights” (2009) and “African Scream” (2018).
The guitarist, one of the most prolific and flexible protagonists of the Italian jazz scene, where he came to prominence at a very young age, already in the mid-80s as a member of the Ente Eller group, is a musician capable of moving with ease from jazz to electronic, from progressive rock to ethnic, from Latin to classical.
This work of his, like the previous one, is also conceived for those seeking a profound sound and musical expression, with great attention dedicated to the quality of both the recording and the mastering, in this case analogue, where the guitarist intervened personally until reaching the desired result.
