WARRANTY AND ASSISTANCE

Warranty of new products is regulated by the European Union regulations which establish:

  • 2-year guarantee from the manufacturer on those goods classified as "consumer" , starting from the date on the receipt;

  • 1-year guarantee on goods classified as professional (invoiced to companies with a VAT number), starting from the date on the invoice;

  • The manufacturer of goods may give a shorter guarantee to some components of the product; in this case the vendor is no way compelled to extend the guarantee;

  • Guarantee is valid only under proof of receipt/invoice;

  • HI-FI DI PRINZIO gives 6 months guarantee on second-hand products;

  • Warranty and refunds are not contemplated when goods have been repaired from technicians who are not authorized by HI-FI DI PRINZIO;

  • Goods will not be replaced and warranty can't be extended;

  • HI-FI DI PRINZIO is not responsible for those goods that have been left in storage for more than six months;

  • HI-FI DI PRINZIO cannot be held accountable for possible damages resulting from the missing use of products during the repair period, even if goods are still covered by warranty.

If the Authorised Technical Service states that the defect is not due to product liability, as by the Legislative Decree 24/02, the customer will be charged of possible costs to test, repair goods, and of the shipping costs HI-FI DI PRINZIO had to pay.

Guarantee is not included in the following cases:

  • When damages are the result of negligence, tampering, improper use and installation, speakers combustion due to overloaded power, sudden change in voltage and uncorrected placement of connections

  • When items have to be sent to HI-FI DI PRINZIO or to the technical service, guarantee does not cover the shipping costs

  • When the customer requires domiciliary assistance to test damages, to collect or reallocate goods

Delay

HI-FI DI PRINZIO cannot be held accountable for possible delays to repair goods when repair has been committed to the Authorised Technical Service or by a technical service of your choice.

Returns

When guarantee states that a product can be returned, it must be returned in its original packaging, complete of all his contents (package, documentation, manuals, cables etc.) To avoid further damages to the original packaging, when possible we recommend to put it in one more package; please DO NOT affix labels and adhesive tapes on the original packaging.

HI-FI DI PRINZIO ensures a telephone customer service during its opening hours by calling +39 (0) 871562198 (standard call rate applied by your telephone provider).

Domiciliary assistance (when possible) can be arranged upon telephone or written agreement.

Assistance times will be fast but are always subjected to our technicians' availability and to the waiting list.

Costs of domiciliary assistance are at your expenses and are subjected to our rates.
