Epson returns to the "Home Cinema" market with two new Laser models featuring updated specifications. As is typical for Epson, these new models stand out for their incredible price-to-performance ratio.
EPSON EH-LS11000W 4K
The Epson EH-LS11000W and its bigger sibling, the EH-LS12000B, share many features. Both models utilize new Epson LCD panels with a native Full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels). This year's innovation is the matrix wobulation system, which, similar to JVC's technology, quickly shifts each pixel to four different positions, placing a pixel where the "black" area of the inter-pixel spacing would typically be. This results in improved resolution and a greater ability to reproduce the details in 4K signals.
The new pixel-shifting speed supports playback of 4K signals (including gaming) at 120Hz. Reduced lag times (as low as 20ms) make these new Epson projectors particularly well-suited for gaming.
An additional advantage of Epson's 3-LCD matrix system is the complete absence of the sometimes bothersome "Rainbow Effect," which affects DLP projectors to varying degrees.
LASER LIGHT SOURCE
Another highlight this year is the introduction of a LASER and phosphor illumination system. The EPSON EH-LS11000W boasts a luminous flux of 2,500 lumens. Moreover, Epson's three-LCD matrix system guarantees a much higher Color Light Output (CLO) compared to competing technologies. This translates to vivid and vibrant colors in the displayed images.
MULTICOMPATIBILITY
The Epson EH-LS11000W (white version) is compatible with the most widely used HDR (High Dynamic Range) encoding systems (HDR10 and HLG). To complete the picture, dynamic HDR10+ support has been added this year.
VERSATILE AS ALWAYS
The Epson EH-LS11000W upholds Epson's tradition of creating highly versatile Home Theatre projectors. It features a motorized optical zoom with a 2.1x ratio. Additionally, it offers motorized focus and lens shifting. The lens shift range covers ±96.3% vertically and ±47.1% horizontally. It also supports the memory of up to 10 optical formats, allowing you to adapt the projected image format based on the content and screen dimensions.
