Pair of Floorstanding Speakers
The Klipsch Cornwall speakers made their debut in 1959 as a full-range alternative to the Heresy model. Initially designed as center channel speakers to be placed between two Klipschorns, they have undergone significant evolution over the decades. Handcrafted in the historic Hope, Arkansas headquarters, they embody the soul and excellence of the Klipsch Heritage series, known for its craftsmanship and high-quality design.
The Cornwall IV are three-way floorstanding speakers with a bass-reflex configuration, featuring an extraordinary sensitivity of 102 dB, allowing them to reach sound pressure levels up to 119 dB. The 1-inch K-107-TI titanium diaphragm tweeter uses a symmetric Tractrix horn (90° x 40°) with a new phase plug to improve high-frequency dispersion and precision. The 1.75-inch K-702 midrange driver with a polyimide diaphragm and Tractrix horn with Mumps geometry ensures natural, detailed reproduction of midrange frequencies. The 15-inch K-33-E woofer, with a composite fiber diaphragm, works in combination with three front-facing reflex ports featuring Tractrix geometry, ensuring powerful, extended, and articulate bass.
With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a frequency response starting at 34 Hz, the Cornwall IV delivers a complete and deep sound profile, ideal for a wide range of musical genres.
Thanks to their high sensitivity, the Cornwall IV can be paired with both low-power amplifiers, such as tube amps, and high-power solid-state models, proving to be extremely versatile in the high-end hi-fi landscape.
The low frequencies are powerful yet never overwhelming, with a fast and detailed response that perfectly follows the rhythm of the music. The midrange frequencies captivate with their enveloping and natural presence, with vocal reproduction that delivers extraordinary materiality, especially with male vocals. The high frequencies are precise and balanced, thanks to the titanium compression tweeter, avoiding any excess brightness or harshness.
The Klipsch Cornwall IV represent a unique blend of tradition and innovation, delivering outstanding performance with all types of music and amplification.
