The ONIX SACD 15-A, like all products from the brand, features a classic British design, inspired by the brand's early models, with a glossy black glass front panel that seamlessly integrates with the gold buttons and OLED screen. Bluetooth 5.0 and the Qualcomm chipset allow for high-quality music streaming from smartphones or tablets.

Internally, the ONIX SACD 15-A stands out for the excellent quality of its components and its precise construction. In particular, the power supply system has been meticulously designed, with separate modules and stabilized sections. The audio circuit, the servo controlling the player (Philips CD80), and the display each have their own power supply. The voltage for all these circuits comes from a high-quality R-Core transformer, with separate taps for the different required voltages.

The digital circuits that manage the USB input and synchronization clocks are on a separate board, as is the electronics controlling the player’s operation. The audio signal circuit contains high-quality components, including Wimy polypropylene and Nichicon KG operational amplifiers, which act as current-to-voltage converters, and an output operational amplifier. The digital circuit integrates the renowned AKM AK4493EQ DAC.

An interesting detail is the small wooden blocks on the MUSE8920D used for low-pass filtering, which help improve sound quality by reducing vibrations. A poetic touch that adds to the charm.
