Stylus
The 2M Bronze features a Nude Fine Line diamond particularly suited for demanding applications. The slim profile of the Fine Line stylus will track even the highest frequency information.

Split pole pin technology
The 2M Bronze uses a special engine with quad coils featuring Ortofon’s very own invention: split pole pins upgraded with a silver-plated copper wire.
The 2M Bronze Premounted is designed for customers who wish direct and easy mounting and replacement on their S-shaped tonearm.

The 2M Bronze cartridge represents an improvement on the 2M Blue, with superior sound definition, wider and more detailed and a more marked channel separation.

Compared to the 2M Black, which uses a Shibata stylus, the Bronze is slightly less refined but represents a more accessible option in terms of cost, without sacrificing too much quality.

It uses a diamond nude fine line stylus, particularly suitable for demanding applications; this is because the stylus' thin profile tracks information on the higher frequencies more accurately and its larger "footprint" ensures a reduction in distortion.

The 2M Bronze's body is in newly developed Lexan DMX Piano Black, a revolutionary material that guarantees high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances. In addition, the 2M Bronze has a specially upgraded motor with silver-plated copper wire to read and retain as much information as possible about the extracted frequencies, ensuring overall performance that tends to improve with more detail and resolution, preserving more of the original audio signal and ultimately improving the listening experience.

The 2M Bronze compared to the 2M Blue, captures more detail and offers better imaging, recovers the highest frequency from the groove but at the same time guarantees a full-bodied listening experience, truly bringing the music to life. Even in terms of design this has been optimized to facilitate the assembly of the cartridge with a weight and size that fits the most common turntables currently on the market. Like the entire 2M series of cartridges, the Bronze also features the split pole pins invented by Ortofon, an invention that allows moving magnet cartridges to have a flat frequency response, like with a moving coil cartridge.

Ortofon has optimized the design of this 2M series for ease of assembly, not neglecting the weight and dimensions to fit the most common turntables currently on the market.
