The Spectral DMC-20 Reference Preamplifier was born from the combination of the latest technological innovations and the increasingly sophisticated demands of home audio systems. Designed to set new performance standards, this preamplifier was the result of years of research and cutting-edge engineering, with the aim of delivering uncompromising sound quality.

The DMC-20 stands out for its innovative three-dimensional architecture, optimizing the separation between different circuit sections to minimize interference and ensure unparalleled sound transparency. The signal amplification modules and the optional phono module are placed on separate boards, suspended above a sliding motherboard. The signal path is minimized, while the internal wiring uses specially designed MIT/Spectral cables, ensuring perfect transmission of the musical signal.

The DMC-20 employs an innovative linear gain stage designed to ensure an extremely wide and stable frequency response. The use of custom-made power MOSFETs ensures exceptional driving capability, allowing the preamplifier to maintain full control even with complex interconnect cables and high-end amplifiers.

Thanks to a Class A output stage with integrated heat sinks, the DMC-20 can deliver up to one ampere of output current per channel, ensuring uncompromised musical dynamics. Additionally, the output voltage, which can reach 80V peak-to-peak, provides a spacious and compression-free sound typical of the best tube preamplifiers.

The DMC-20 is powered by the DMS-20 unit, a sophisticated power supply with separate regulation for each rail of each channel. This design ensures flawless current delivery, completely isolated from network interference and ground loops. With a total power of 80V, the DMS-20 provides the preamplifier with an energy reserve comparable to that of a power amplifier, ensuring always dynamic and compression-free musical reproduction.

• Volume: Precision stepped attenuator with gold contacts and perfect channel matching (within 0.1 dB).
• Balance: 14-step control with metal film resistors and a bypass in the central position to remove it completely from the circuit.
• Input Selector: Controls the relay system, preventing the music signal from passing through mechanical switches for maximum sound transparency.
