MAS Metaxas Audio Systems is a brand of Kostas Metaxas, a third generation Australian of Greek origin living in Melbourne, where he has won numerous awards with his products that are technically advanced, well crafted with careful craftsmanship, and provide very high performance.

The Charisma preamp features a separate power supply with a decent-sized toroidal transformer, rectifiers, and four 4,700mF electrolytic capacitors, two on each 30V positive and negative supply. Inside the preamp is additional power smoothing and circuitry regulators that use discrete components to provide a final voltage of +- 20 volts. There is no on/off switching.

Three line inputs and Phono MM input for cartridges from 47k ohm to 100 ohms

The cabinets are made of stainless steel and the preamp has a 3mm thick black anodized aluminum front panel with white engravings.
