The Tube Box S2 is a compact phono preamplifier that delivers high-quality performance, designed to provide a warm and relaxed sound, typical of larger valve preamplifiers. This innovative device is the first in its series to feature a fully discrete design, without the use of operational amplifiers (OpAmps), and offers the ability to replace tubes for sound customization through "tube rolling." This allows users to tailor the sound to their preferences, making the listening experience even more unique.

The Tube Box S2 is compatible with both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) cartridges, offering a range of gain settings that can be easily adjusted via the front panel. Five different variable impedance settings are available to suit MM cartridges, while the fixed 47 kOhm impedance setting is optimized for high-output MC cartridges. The dual mono circuitry is designed to optimize channel separation and ensure precise and detailed sound reproduction.

The RIAA equalization stage, essential for correctly processing the frequencies recorded on vinyl records, is implemented in two stages (passive and active), providing faithful and well-balanced audio signal reproduction. The ultra-low noise circuitry, with an FET input stage, and the use of polystyrene capacitors where possible, help maintain the highest level of audio quality. Additionally, the preamplifier features a high-filtered anode power supply and a sturdy aluminum/metal casing that protects against vibrations and electromagnetic interference.

The Tube Box S2 is equipped with gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs, a subsonic filter, and gain control, all easily accessible via the front controls.
