The seventh album made by Anne Bisson over 13 years features six fantastic covers and six original songs written by herself and was recorded in one of the most prestigious recording studios in Montreal with her Original Blue Mind Team.

 After the extraordinary success achieved by the single "Killing Me Softly" contained in the album Keys to My Heart, the singer, songwriter and jazz pianist Anne Bisson has decided to perform and record more standards from the American Jazz Songbook and new arrangements of great classics that were popular in his teenage years.

Anne's seventh album, eloquently titled Be My Lover, offers a highly enjoyable program of original songs and hit standards revisited in new arrangements for acoustic trio. Although the album fully belongs to the smooth jazz genre, the presence of a Fender Rhodes keyboard, the legendary protagonist of many concerts in the 1970s, and an electric bass add a note with an unmistakable flavor to the program.

After more than 18 months of musical experimentation and other creative adventures, Anne called again the great drummer Paul Brochu (who has collaborated with Gino Vanelli, Michel Legrand and the UZEB among others) and the extraordinary French bassist Jean- Bertrand Carbou for a series of informal sessions aimed at identifying and starting to rehearse the songs that would become part of his seventh album.
