AudioNautes is proud to present an unmissable limited edition reissue of the great classic Jazz at the Pawnshop, whose program has been divided into four 180 gram 45 rpm One-Step LPs. Unanimously considered by both enthusiasts and critics as one of the most iconic albums in history, Jazz at the Pawnshop has become an absolute reference record, above all for the wonderfully natural reproduction of a live performance by a great jazz band.
The story of Jazz at the Pawnshop begins on the very cold morning of December 6, 1976, when the great sound engineer Gert Palmcrantz began loading his car parked in front of the Europa Film Studios with his recording equipment. Back then, no one would have ever imagined that the fruit of that recording session would become an essential cult object for audiophiles all over the world, as well as one of the most famous and respected records in the history of jazz.
