2-Way Floor-Standing Speaker from the Prestige Line.

The Kensington GR speaker is the most compact in its high-end category, but this does not mean it is small in size. With a 10-inch Dual Concentric driver system housed in a cabinet that recalls pre-war furniture design, the Kensington GR is a thoroughly modern speaker that, while staying true to a timeless aesthetic, surprises with its elegance and anachronistic charm. The front grille is secured with a key, and the cabinet is made of veneered plywood. The speakers rest on solid spikes, while the treble balance can be adjusted via two switches labeled ‘energy’ and ‘roll off’ on a large gold plate on the front. The energy control is a ±3dB shelving filter across a bandwidth of 1.1-27kHz, while the ‘roll off’ offers adjustments from +2dB to -6dB per octave between 5kHz and 27kHz.

The sensitivity is high, with a value of 93dB (2.83V/1m), and the nominal impedance is 8Ω, never dropping below 5Ω, making the load quite easy. The frequency response is specified from 29Hz to 27kHz at -6dB.
