Gemme Audio Vivace V2 is an elegant and slender floorstanding loudspeaker, meticulously crafted and designed to offer the virtues of a full-range single-driver system—without the typical colorations associated with conventional horn loading.

At the heart of the Vivace V2 is the 4" (10 cm) Fostex FE108E Sigma driver, renowned for its tonal clarity, midrange coherence, and ability to deliver a smooth and articulate sound. Despite the driver’s compact size, the Vivace achieves extended and credible bass response thanks to a precisely engineered cabinet designed to optimize low-frequency performance. The addition of a side-mounted 300 mm woofer contributes to a rich and impactful bass foundation.

The cabinet itself is a masterpiece of acoustic engineering: constructed with multilayer panels combining MDF, elastomers, and solid maple, it features decoupling grooves, non-parallel internal walls, and diffusion channels of various shapes and thicknesses to minimize resonance. The CNC-sculpted front baffle, enhanced with V-shaped grooves, increases cabinet inertia and improves the driver’s precision. A three-point support system ensures optimal isolation and stability.

The Vivace V2 stands out for its well-defined soundstage, with solid center image focus and accurate spatial rendering of sound sources. It presents the sound as a clean, horizontal slice through the listening space, filling it with elegance and control.

In the high frequencies, the speaker shows a slight roll-off—a characteristic trait of small Fostex drivers. However, this is not perceived as a flaw. Instead, it contributes to a more natural, smooth, and fatigue-free listening experience, ideal for long sessions.

For best results in terms of transparency, detail, and low-frequency control, a 10–15 watt push-pull tube or solid-state amplifier with a moderate damping factor is recommended.
