The Tannoy DC6 LCR was created in response to the demand for a center channel speaker that could perfectly match the dynamics and articulation of the Definition series. With a compact yet incredibly powerful design, this speaker delivers the same expressive capability and soundstage presence as the floor-standing models in the range, while being specifically designed to integrate elegantly beneath large-screen TVs or projection systems.

At the heart of the DC6 LCR is Tannoy’s Dual Concentric technology, ensuring superior tonal coherence and focused imaging. It features a 6-inch point-source driver paired with a second woofer of the same size, delivering extended and controlled bass response. The 1-inch titanium tweeter, combined with a Tulip waveguide, provides optimal dispersion and precise detail reproduction. To maximize performance and eliminate distortion, the crossover is cryogenically treated and mounted on a low-resonance structure using DMT (Differential Materials Technology), ensuring impeccable signal transmission and a natural tonal balance.

The cabinet construction meets Tannoy’s high standards, with a clean front panel free of visible elements thanks to magnetic grilles, curved side panels designed to eliminate internal standing waves, and a high-quality plywood structure chosen for its acoustic properties. A front-firing 6-inch passive radiator extends low-frequency response even in confined spaces, while the dedicated plinth ensures stable placement when used as a center speaker. The entire design is finished in an elegant high-gloss black, making it a refined addition to any listening environment.

Beyond its premium electro-plated brass bi-wiring terminals, the DC6 LCR includes a fifth binding post for grounding, which helps reduce high-frequency interference and enhances midrange transparency.
