Qln Prestige One is a reference monitor in line with the performance level of the award-winning Prestige series. Fully consistent with Qln's truncated cabinet design, the Prestige One features the same minimal baffle area, time alignment, and damping technology found in the Signature 3 model, but with further optimization, setting a new benchmark for performance.

The same constant impedance crossover technology used in the rest of the Prestige series has been specifically refined for the Prestige One’s compact two-way design. Dynamic range and sound pressure level (SPL) are enhanced using low-loss inductors for the woofer. All inductors feature air cores, and all capacitors are made of polypropylene material.

Each inductor undergoes a baking process to bind the wires together, reducing internal vibrations.

The constant impedance crossover provides a uniform impedance response, which eases the load on the amplifier (particularly for tube amplifiers) and ensures better phase coherence for the drivers. The crossover is hand-wired to achieve the best contact between components with the fewest possible connection points. Each component is glued with soft adhesive to enhance damping and minimize vibrations.

Cables: Solid-core pure copper wires, twisted side by side around a polypropylene core, reduce multiple connections between individual wire strands.

The (+) and (-) parts of the cable are baked and enclosed in an acoustically insulated rubber-like casing to reduce vibrations and friction between components. The insulation material is pure polypropylene, free from dyes, to avoid the adverse effects of coloring agents in insulation material.

High-quality WBT Nextgen® connectors with minimal contact material, made of copper/silver, are used to ensure the lowest possible distortion and signal loss. While pure copper is typically preferred, the decision to use silver-plated connectors over pure copper is based on the durability and purity of silver-plated surfaces, even though silver also oxidizes. Gold-plated surfaces effectively prevent oxidation but do not offer the same sound quality as silver.

The bass/midrange and high-frequency drivers were custom-developed in collaboration with the renowned Danish driver manufacturer Scan Speak, incorporating the most advanced driver technologies of the 21st century. The bass/midrange Kevlar® driver, with a special coating and copper ring integrated into the magnetic system, provides symmetric drive, superior midrange dynamics, and reduced intermodulation distortion. The result is outstanding vocal reproduction and remarkable micro/macro dynamics from this compact two-way design.
The unique Illuminator tweeter also delivers exceptional sound imaging at all listening positions. Its large rolled surround and fabric dome diaphragm provide a flat frequency response beyond 30 kHz with excellent off-axis dispersion. The unique AirCirc magnet system and rear chamber further minimize reflections and resonances.
