Manual turntable with a floating suspended chassis and belt drive, a technologically perfected reimagining of the iconic Thorens TD 160 and TD 150 models.

The Thorens TD 1600 combines the brand’s tradition with 21st-century technology. Externally, it resembles the famous 160 series, with a classic wooden plinth, two-part platter with internal belt and thick rubber mat, arm board, and acrylic dust cover, but it incorporates numerous innovations inside.

The conical springs for the sub-chassis are no longer mounted on the top but rest on the base. Additionally, a thin but strong steel thread connects the sub-chassis to a steel pin on the bottom, preventing lateral movement and allowing only vertical movement.

A powerful control unit manages the motor speed.
