The Pro-Ject Xtension 12 Evolution is a "no compromise" retro-style turntable, equipped with the Pro-Ject 12cc EVO tonearm. It features an anti-resonant composite base and a sandwich-structured steel/vinyl platter. Belt drive with an extremely quiet motor. Integrated Speed Box SE for speed switching. Magnetic suspension system for the sub-chassis made of CORIAN, isolating the platter and tonearm. Magnetic feet with adjustable height.

The Pro-Ject Xtension 12 Evolution combines the classic design of the '80s with modern technology, overcoming budget limitations and delivering superior performance.

Thanks to the use of magnets to isolate the sub-chassis, a technology already appreciated in the 6perspeX, the Xtension 12 Evolution incorporates magnetic feet that almost completely decouple the main plinth. The two integrated magnets in the feet allow the turntable to "float" almost perfectly, minimizing base resonance.

The metal platter, designed for high mass, is made from a special alloy internally damped with Sorbothane® to replace the pure metal, which tends to resonate. Recycled vinyl records are glued to the top, acting as a mat, and the entire assembly is precision balanced, ensuring a stable and resonance-free surface.

The tonearm base is designed to effectively absorb energy from both the tonearm and cartridge movements, as well as from the motor and bearing, keeping these energies away from the tonearm to avoid interference. The use of "high-mass" technologies and Sorbothane® isolation further enhances sound quality.
