The CD-S2100 player features a symmetrical design, with the driver in the center, digital circuits and power supply on the left side, and analog circuits and power supply on the right side. This separation reduces interference between the circuits, ensuring optimal balance. The central structure and 5mm-thick front panel increase the chassis rigidity, improving playback stability.

The power circuits are not separated but integrated into the digital and analog panels, reducing signal loss and improving impedance. The wiring, with screw connections similar to those of the A-S2100 amplifier, ensures precise contact without soldering, reducing signal loss and promoting clear, detailed playback.

The mechanism of the CD-S2100, identical to that of the CD-S3000 model, is secured with curved iron supports to eliminate vibrations. Each support is precisely adjusted during assembly to ensure perfect signal reading. The system minimizes servo load and the impact of current fluctuations, maintaining high sound quality.

The aluminum CD tray reduces vibrations and improves signal reading. The elegant design includes a smooth opening/closing function for a high-quality user experience.

The ES9016 D/A converter offers exceptional performance, with jitter elimination thanks to the internal master clock. The 32-bit audio processor precisely handles both low and high frequencies, providing output with an excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

The integrated USB DAC function allows easy connection of digital audio sources, supporting the ASIO 2.3 protocol, which reduces delay and enhances sound quality. The Yamaha Steinberg ASIO 2.3 software is compatible with resolutions up to 192kHz/24-bit.

For isolation from external vibrations, the player can be placed on metal feet with spikes or pads, depending on the user's choice. The CD-S2100's exterior design combines metal and wood with high-quality craftsmanship, while the semi-mirror display provides elegant information during use.

The remote control, designed in line with the player’s design, is simple and functional, allowing control of playback, volume, and source for the A-S2100 amplifier.
