Unison Unico CD Due is a Hi-End DAC with a tube output and integrated CD mechanism, designed by the Italian brand Unison Research. This device combines the sound qualities of the Unico range with the ability to play PCM and DSD digital files via USB, offering versatility and excellent compatibility with external sources like streamers or computers. Its hybrid structure, combining tube technology and solid-state devices, ensures power without compromising the musicality typically associated with tubes. It features digital inputs, including USB, coaxial S/PDIF, AES/EBU, optical Toslink, and Bluetooth, as well as analog and digital outputs, including coaxial S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and Toslink for connection to external DACs.

The CD mechanism is dedicated exclusively to reading Audio CDs and is protected by a robust metal cover. The electronics are designed to provide high-quality tube sound, with a totem-pole circuit that ensures ultra-low distortion and high immunity to noise. The ESS Sabre ES9018K2M DAC and the internal FPGA eliminate jitter, ensuring excellent signal-to-noise ratio and minimal distortion. Unico CD Due also offers three selectable digital filters and the ability to invert the phase, allowing the listening experience to be adapted to the user's preferences.
