FURUTECH FI-48NCF (R)

IEC connector featuring NCF (Nano Crystal² Formula).

Incorporated into select Furutech products, the NCF technology is based on a special crystalline material that possesses two "active" properties. Furutech Floating Field Damper System
Current flowing through a cable and its connector creates magnetic (and electrostatic) fields around them, which build and collapse 60 times per second in 120VAC systems. This magnetic field induces current flow and electrical potential in small parts like the screws holding the connector shell together, which must be metallic for tight clamping. The current flow in these small parts actually creates "floating" magnetic fields around them, interfering with the larger surrounding magnetic field of the cable and connector, resulting in noise and distortion.

The Furutech Floating Field Damper solves the biggest problem you never realized you had by grounding all the metal parts where floating magnetic fields are induced. All the various metal parts of the connector are tied together, shunting any electrical potential generated to ground. This significantly lowers noise, reducing distortion for ultra-clean and stable power transfer.
