Battery Power Supply for Trigon Vanguard I and II

The optional processor-controlled battery power supply for the Trigon Vanguard I, Vanguard II and VANGUARD III phono preamplifiers. The Volcano III can be easily retrofitted at any time without any further technical changes.
The Volcano III is inserted between the Vanguard II and the Vanguard II ground supply by connecting it to the previous Vanguard II ground supply and to the Vanguard II using the supplied adapter cable.

When using the Volcano III in combination with a Vanguard I, a special adapter cable between the Volcano III and Vanguard I is required. In addition, an external ground supply is required, as the Vanguard I plug-in power supply is not compatible with the Volcano III.

The high-quality housing in the Vanguard design made of anodized aluminum and optionally textured or nextel-coated steel hides the long-lasting lead-acid batteries. Operational reliability and ease of use are ensured by charge control and microprocessor control. All operating states are relay-controlled with a front button and signaled by a two-color LED display. The Volcano III supplies power to the connected phono preamplifier in both pure mains operation and battery-mains operation.
In battery-mains operation, the integrated power supply is connected in parallel to the batteries, i.e. the connected amplifier is connected to both the batteries and the mains. In order to effectively avoid possible interference from the mains supply, the Volcano III can (and should) be switched to battery-combined operation while listening to music. In this operating mode, the power supply is supported by the integrated batteries.

With this optimal power supply, the Vanguard I and II unfold their full potential for authentic music reproduction, unaffected by mains influences.
