The AKIKO 10th Anniversary model from IKEDA Sound Labs represents the latest evolution of their MC cartridge series, developed with the most advanced technologies, materials, and components available today. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, a diamond cantilever, the hardest material on Earth, was chosen for the first time among all Ikeda cartridges. This cantilever, combined with a micro-ridge stylus, significantly enhances sound clarity, offering faster and more precise sonic transmission.

The body of the cartridge is made of titanium, machined from a solid block and then polished with buffing to enhance its surface. The ion plating treatment gives the body a pinkish-gold color, adding elegance and robustness to the design. The yoke base is carefully shaped and made of a high-quality anti-vibration alloy, capable of superior vibration absorption, a crucial aspect for ensuring precise and interference-free sound reproduction.

The AKIKO cartridge is equipped with a neodymium magnet, the most powerful available, and the coils are made of PCOC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting), a high-quality material that ensures superior performance. Each cartridge is assembled with the utmost attention to detail, precisely aligned, and manually produced, a process that requires time and care to meet the many conditions necessary to achieve the best possible playback device. The result is a cartridge capable of faithfully reproducing every musical nuance hidden in analog vinyl records.
