Extremely flexible 2.5mmq bipolar cable containing multi-strand OFC tinned in copper with a purity grade of 5N, i.e. greater than 99.999%. The insulating coating is composed of a special PVC, ionically stable, which minimizes the corrosion of the tinned surface and guarantees excellent acoustic performance. In fact, the tin, by reducing the so-called skin effect and decreasing the current jumps between the surfaces of the wires, contributes to a better sound quality.

This series covers all Hi-Fi applications.

The conductors are in OFC copper individually tinned (with pure tin) in such a way as to minimize the skin effect by acting as a semi-Litz type cable.
Furthermore, this tinning process (not silver plating!) helps to limit conductor jumps, thus transforming the multi-strand cable into a sort of solidcore (single conductor).

At Supra they claim that the advantage of pure tin over silver is that copper and tin "mix" together rather than creating a sort of diode "barrier" like that between copper and silver. Furthermore, pure tin protects OFC copper from oxidation.

The technical specifications of the CLASSIC 2.5 (2.5 are the mm2 of section) declare a resistance of 6.8 Ohms per km (kilometer) and an inductance of 0.45 µH per meter.
