The C 35 has many useful features to enhance your listening pleasure:

• High-level inputs to accommodate both traditional audio sources and the latest ones, such as CD players and high-quality audio from video recorders and laser video disc players.
• Low-noise switching system using a pair of cascading field-effect transistors (FETs) to handle inputs. The input loads are much shorter, one-twentieth (1/20) of the length of previous designs. Benefits include source-to-source isolation, lower distortion, and freedom from hum, noise, and interference from high-power radar or TV signals.
• Selection of 9 inputs via electronic switching: Compact Disc, LASER disc, TV, TUNER, PHONO, AUX 1, AUX 2, VCR/T1, and VCR/T2.
• Electronic tape monitoring switches for two audio recorders or for the audio from two video recorders, or one audio recorder and one video recorder, allowing you to listen to any recorder from the main output.
• Volume control adjusted via a precision motor.
• Left/right tracking accuracy controlled to a fraction of a decibel.
• SPEAKER buttons to select both or either of two sets of speakers (when used with the optional SCR 3 speaker control relay) or two additional power amplifiers for other listening areas.
• Remote control via buttons on the front panel or infrared remote. Additionally, remote control can be extended to two additional listening areas via easily connected McIntosh remote sensors using RG-59U cable.
• Active loudness control independent of the volume control, allowing conformity to Fletcher-Munson loudness curves, regardless of volume setting.
• Five-band equalizer to adjust and improve the loudness contrast across the five most important frequency bands, compensating for recording differences or listener preferences.
• Signal switching jacks on the rear panel for signal processing devices. Processors can be used independently to modify a tape recording or the program being listened to.
• Built-in headphone amplifier providing power to the front panel headphone jack.
• Electronically regulated power supplies that maintain stable operation even during fluctuations in line voltage.
• Professional XLR connectors providing a balanced optimal signal-to-noise ratio for demanding applications.
