The Vanguard II is a phono preamplifier designed to ensure precise equalization and optimal amplification of the signal from a turntable. Suitable for both MM (Moving Magnet) and MC (Moving Coil) systems, it offers flexible adjustment of gain, resistance, and capacitance, thanks to easily accessible external switches.

To guarantee accurate equalization, the Vanguard II uses carefully selected components with a deviation of less than 1%. Each component is measured with high-precision instruments, and pairs of elements are meticulously matched to eliminate differences between the two stereo channels, ensuring a perfectly linear output.

The adjustable gain, essential for adapting to different pickup systems, is designed to minimize background noise and interference. The Vanguard II employs high-quality operational amplifiers with minimal distortion, delivering a clean and detailed sound.

Adjustable parameters:

• Gain: 16 levels, adjusted via miniature switches on the unit's base, allowing compatibility with a wide range of pickup systems.

• Load impedance for MC systems: 64 available combinations, ensuring extremely precise calibration.

• Load capacitance for MM systems: 4 available settings, for optimal adaptation to the turntable.

This extensive customization makes the Vanguard II particularly suitable for MC systems, which require more specific adjustments compared to traditional MM systems.
