Phono preamplifier MM/MC

MM/MC phono preamplifier with Class A circuitry, fully designed and built in the USA (Boulder, Colorado).

The design is entirely made with manually selected discrete components, featuring the latest generation MOSFET and JFET semiconductors with ultra-low noise and high overload capabilities. The circuit includes a passive RIAA equalization curve, and the power supply stage is equipped with an oversized high-current transformer and discrete voltage regulation circuits. It is coupled in direct current (DC) from input to output.

It supports low-voltage MC cartridges (0.15 mV), with six selectable gain levels, three for MM and three for MC. The load settings for MC are both fixed and variable, controlled via remote. The MM load is set to 47kΩ.

Appreciated for its midrange clarity, transparency, and tonal richness, it provides an excellent listening experience. With up to 72dB of gain and an A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio greater than 74dB, it adapts to any MC cartridge, offering unlimited loading options. Ideal for neutral or less rich cartridges, such as the Ortofon A90 and Lyra Atlas SL.
