Monoblock Power Amplifier Pair
The MC2301 offers the most extraordinarily realistic and dynamic performance ever heard from a McIntosh tube amplifier. With an output of 300 watts, it provides enough power to drive even the most demanding loudspeakers. Thanks to the patented Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer, this full 300-watt power is available to 2, 4, or 8-ohm speakers.
The MC2301 is the first McIntosh tube amplifier to use the Quad Balanced design. This design effectively cancels virtually all noise and distortion in the audio signal. As a result, even when amplified to high levels, the signal is virtually free of distortion. The fuse-less short-circuit protection circuit, Sentry Monitor™, disengages the output stage before the current exceeds safe operating levels and automatically resets. Inputs for balanced and unbalanced cables provide flexibility in connecting the rest of your audio system.
The distinctive blue meter is flanked by two rows of output tubes, adding further visual appeal to the front panel, complemented by brushed aluminum knobs and handles that seamlessly blend with the polished stainless steel chassis. The MC2301 is particularly suited for stereo audio systems.
