The Gryphon S100 is a stereo amplifier featuring a solid-state Dual-Mono configuration, capable of delivering 2 x 100 Watts at 8 Ohms, with a peak power output of 2,000 Watts at 1 Ohm, ensuring smooth handling of even the most demanding speakers with variable impedance.

Despite its vintage character, the Gryphon S100 maintains a contemporary design thanks to its timeless attention to detail. The front panel, finished in metal and plexiglass, is enhanced by three plexiglass strips, with the original power switch centrally positioned. The chassis, made of powder-coated steel and brushed black anodized aluminum, provides a mechanically non-resonant structure, ensuring protection and stability for internal components.

Internally, the amplifier follows a true Dual-Mono philosophy, with separate power transformers for each channel. This solution, combined with an optimized layout and minimal internal wiring, ensures a pure, interference-free signal between channels, enhancing dynamics, detail, and the three-dimensionality of the soundstage.

The fully balanced, discrete circuit is designed without negative feedback, delivering a transparent and natural sound. 24 Sanken 20-Amp transistors provide high and stable power output, while the custom power capacitors offer 160,000 µF of reserve capacity, ensuring exceptional current delivery.

The Gryphon S100 stands out for its extended frequency response beyond 350 kHz, delivering an incredibly detailed sound, with precise transients and an airy high-frequency reproduction. Its frequency-independent damping factor provides outstanding speaker control, making it suitable even for complex loads and challenging phase angles.

The rear panel features balanced XLR inputs, optimized for a clean, interference-free signal. No RCA inputs are available, underscoring Gryphon’s philosophy of ensuring the purest audio signal. For those using unbalanced sources, dedicated adapters are available.

The non-invasive protection system continuously monitors the amplifier, preventing overloads, short circuits, overheating, or DC/HF presence at the output, without compromising sound quality.
