The much-acclaimed EvoLution range includes 12 valve amplifiers, encompassing integrated amps, preamplifiers, and power amps across four price categories, as well as a valve-based DAC.

In 2021, PrimaLuna expanded its range with a groundbreaking product: the EVO 300 Hybrid Integrated Amplifier. This is the company’s first-ever hybrid amplifier, born from a collaboration between PrimaLuna and Floyd Design, the solid-state design division of the Durob group. This model combines a valve-based preamplifier designed by PrimaLuna with a solid-state power stage developed by Floyd Design, resulting in a hybrid amplifier that genuinely delivers the best of both worlds.

The challenge of integrating valve and solid-state components in a single chassis to capture their inherent qualities – the expressive fluidity of valves and the power and control of solid-state – has been met with great success. Too often, hybrid amplifiers result in technical and sonic compromises, but that is not the case with the EVO 300 Hybrid. By utilizing MOSFETs in the power stage, components that share similar characteristics to valves, PrimaLuna and Floyd Design have created a cohesive and harmonious system.

The EVO 300 Hybrid combines one of PrimaLuna’s most successful valve preamps with a high-quality MOSFET power stage already proven by Floyd Design. The result is an amplifier that stands out from the competition in both sonic and design excellence.
