The A55 (Mk 2) from Onix is an integrated amplifier that has been designed, engineered and constructed with vinyl lovers at heart. Utilising meticulously linear circuitry and high quality component. The final result is a warm, exemplary sound complete with every microdynamic detail and richness. This superlative sound quality, at an accessible price.
The unit can be controlled via the supplied handset, or by manipulating the various control functions on the front of the unit. The A55 (Mk 2) features a plethora of inputs including phono, RCA and TAPE. Inside the amplifier are Sanken power transistors (2SC2837/2SA1186) operating on each channel, as well Benches filter capacitors (2 x 10.000mf/63 Nichicon “Gold Tune“). A 300W toroidal Piltron transformer is also utilised by this highly capable amplifier, along with an Alps Blue Velvet motorised potentiometer.
