The L-507Z is the debut model of Luxman's new generation of integrated amplifiers from the Z series, marking an important step toward the future of the brand. Equipped with the brand-new LIFES feedback engine, this amplifier achieves a level of musicality that far exceeds expectations for its category. The combination of advanced technology and sophisticated functionality brings to life an amplifier that represents the beginning of a new era for Luxman.
On the occasion of Luxman's centenary in 2025, the company is proud to present the successor to the ODNF* feedback circuit, which since 1999 has contributed to the audio quality of the brand's products. The new LIFES* circuit has resulted in an extremely natural, rich, and realistic sound with extraordinary performance. Based on the technical concept of the revolutionary ODNF circuit, LIFES ensures excellent dynamic characteristics without any feedback of the original audio signal to the main amplifier, achieving sound quality approaching that of a feedback-free circuit.
The circuit design was conceived and developed from scratch using technological simulations and meticulous research. Through repeated testing, careful selection of components, and rigorous analysis, supreme performance and quality worthy of Luxman's next-generation products were achieved. The production of LIFES Version 1.0 has reduced distortion to less than half compared to the previous system, significantly improving performance.
The output section features a 3-stage Darlington configuration with triple parallel push-pull, allowing an AB class power of 110W+110W at 8Ω and 210W+210W at 4Ω. The output power, comparable to that of a separate amplifier, enables a natural and energetic soundstage, easily driving any compatible speaker system.
The L-507Z is equipped with analog VU meters, a symbolic element of Luxman's solid-state integrated amplifiers. These meters are backlit with bright LEDs and offer high response characteristics. The needle movement syncs with the dynamics of the music, while the 7-segment LEDs indicate attenuation levels between the meters, allowing for easy adjustment visibility from the listening position. The meter backlighting and LED display can be turned on or off via the remote control.
The rectangular chassis design features an ultra-thick front panel with high-quality sandblasted white finish, now a signature of Luxman products. The aluminum top panel with delicate lines and large ventilation slots ensure sufficient airflow, while the entire aluminum chassis structure provides excellent heat dissipation, ensuring stable operation of the amplifier.
The new LECUA1000 electronic attenuator with 88 steps minimizes sound quality degradation across the entire volume control range. The preamplifier output section features discrete buffer circuits that confidently drive the next stage of the power amplifier.
A custom EI power transformer and large-capacity filter capacitors (10,000μF x 8) are combined in the power unit, ensuring an instantaneous supply of current and voltage stability that easily meets the demands of dynamic playback through high-quality speakers.
The L-507Z utilizes many of Luxman's unique technologies, such as Beeline construction, which directs the audio signal along the shortest optimal path to the speaker output and the circuit track without angles for smooth current transmission. The chassis structure without loops isolates the effects of ground impedance.
Among other features, the L-507Z includes a compatible MM/MC phono preamplifier circuit for high-quality analog playback. Tone controls, L balance, and a loudness function are useful for sound quality adjustments. The separation function allows for decoupling the preamplifier and power amplifier systems, while a new mute button has been added to the front panel.
The L-507Z also includes a new φ4.4mm output in addition to the standard φ6.3mm, which, thanks to separate wiring for the right and left channels, greatly improves channel separation for those who want a truly three-dimensional sound experience.
The RCA input terminals for LINE-1 are made of copper alloy, combining copper conductivity with brass durability, supporting high-quality cables. The high-resistance speaker relays, configured in parallel, transmit the driving force of a high-power output circuit without loss, while the damping factor is improved through the use of proprietary OFC cables, ensuring natural signal transmission.
The cast iron feet easily support the weight of the L-507Z, protecting delicate musical signals from unwanted vibrations, thanks to a design feature that reduces resonance. The ergonomic and robust aluminum alloy remote control can also operate compatible Luxman CD players released after 1996.
