Headphone Amplifier

The A90 is a high-performance headphone amplifier that can also function as a preamplifier. It features three gain settings and boasts exceptional specifications, including <0.00006% THD + N, 145 dB DNR, <0.2 µVrms noise, output impedance <0.1 ohms, and a maximum output power of 7200 mW x 2.

The A90 is equipped with NFCA (Nested Feedback Composite Amplifier) modules, which, combined with ultra-high-gain feedback technology, deliver outstanding AC and DC performance. Its high output current capacity enables the A90 to effortlessly drive low-impedance headphones. Furthermore, the ultra-low noise of 0.2 µV and high dynamic range of 145 dB make it suitable for powering the most sensitive In-Ear Monitors (IEMs) without any audible noise.

In terms of outputs, the A90 is equipped with a 4-pin XLR, a 4.4mm balanced output, and a 6.35mm single-ended output. With a single-ended 25V pp and a high balanced output voltage of 49V pp, along with high output current and output impedance below 0.1 ohms, the A90 is compatible with a wide range of headphones. It also features three-stage gain settings and extensive options, allowing it to drive both sensitive IEMs and demanding headphones with ease.

Thanks to the NFCA modules, the A90 can also function as a preamplifier. In preamp mode, its single-ended output impedance of 20 ohms and balanced output impedance of 40 ohms make it compatible with various power amplifiers. You can also pair the A90 with the D90 DAC in preamp mode to drive active speakers, creating a high-performance audio system.

It can drive a wide range of devices, from the most efficient IEMs to power-hungry headphones.
