PAT METHENY GROUP: OFFRAMP

Offeramp is the third album by the Pat Metheny Group, recorded in October 1981 and released in 1982.

Offeramp is practically recorded live in the studio, with the exception of the keyboards: some of them will then be overdubbed. The album represents a turning point for the Pat Metheny Group from the point of view of sounds: in fact, the Roland 303 synth guitar plays a very important role in it, since it is the first time that Pat Metheny uses it in one of his records. The Synclavier is also used. Also participating in the recording of the album is Naná Vasconcelos, who composes the songs together with Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.
