These headphones are assembled one by one in limited quantities at a Japanese factory to commemorate Fostex's 50th anniversary.

Premium solid black walnut is carefully crafted to create the headphone housing, reflecting the traditional art of Japanese woodworking. The open-back structure evokes the imagery of sunlight filtering through trees, blending handcrafted elegance with Japanese aesthetics. Carved from globally renowned black walnut, these headphones combine excellent structural rigidity with exceptional acoustic quality. The design is inspired by the natural phenomenon where sunlight produces a radiant glow as it filters through the spaces between trees. This precision-machined structure ensures optimal rigidity while effectively eliminating modal vibrations. Each opening is sized with extreme precision to prevent resonance at specific frequencies.

Leveraging advanced technology in materials and acoustics, bio-cellulose fibers are blended with other materials under optimal conditions to achieve low specific gravity, high Young's modulus, and high internal damping capacity. These properties enable faithful reproduction of delicate, high-resolution mid-high frequencies. The magnetic circuit features a 50mm driver with an impressive magnetic flux density of 1 Tesla, minimizing distortion and delivering a wide dynamic range. Aluminum is extensively used for mechanical components, providing a superior quality feel while maintaining lightness. High-density resins in the baffle plate effectively reduce resonance noise, offering outstanding resolution, rich mids, and high-quality bass reproduction.

The detachable headphone terminals are rhodium-plated to enhance hardness, abrasion resistance, and corrosion resistance, increasing reliability. HiFC cables, made from pure copper and processed for superior conductivity, enable precise reproduction across the entire frequency spectrum. HiFC is a registered trademark of Proterial, Ltd.

The premium artificial leather pads have a soft texture and low-resilience cushioning, providing superior comfort and excellent sound isolation.
